Jodi's lies

This blog is a personal account of the Jodi Arias/Travis Alexander murder. I have followed this story for a few years. I keep going over all the details and theories so I decided to start a blog just to keep it all straight.

Lets start with Jodi's out and out lies....

-abuse by Travis
-pedophilia
-the gun
-abuse by her parents
-gas cans
-memory loss
-self-defense
-invitation to visit Travis in June 2008

I will probably add to this list, but these stick out in my mind as some of the biggest lies (I didn't include the two mysterious intruders since she finally admitted to that lie).

I'm going to take one lie at a time as well as other subjects to delve into.

I think the first question everyone has is why? I have my own theory. I believe that on May 26, 2008 Jodi threatened Travis with exposure of the sex tape. To Travis, a devout Mormon, this would have been one of the worst things she could do to him. I do not believe Travis ever knew about the tape. When she threatened him with exposure he sent her the text message saying you are the worst thing that ever happened to me. I believe at this point Jodi made a plan - she stole the gun and planned the trip - but as a cover decided she had to visit Ryan Burns in Utah. The visit to Ryan was a cover for renting the car, borrowing/buying the gas cans etc. I do not believe Travis knew she was coming - it was an unexpected visit.

She shows up early in the morning and as we've seen she truly was like a drug to Travis. She didn't kill him immediately because she was hoping against hope she could talk him into being with her and she didn't know where the roommates were so she had to wait to be sure they were alone. She was exhausted so went to sleep. When they woke up she wanted sex as much as he did. There was no rope or tying up - that was just made up to explain why there would be a knife in the bedroom. After sex he went to take a shower and she started taking pictures - I don't think he wanted the pictures taken - he didn't look happy in any of them. I still don't know whether she was threatening him in these pictures, but I do believe she had the gun and knife ready, out of sight, waiting for the perfect opportunity when he was most vulnerable.
